Sweden Day- A Stepping Stone to Knowing Sweden and Swedish Value Better.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia kindly informs you on 17th of March, the Swedish Embassy, together with Business Sweden, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, will pay a visit to Jelgava within the framework of Sweden Day.

During the visit to Jelgava, meetings with the Mayor of Jelgava, Mr. A.Rāviņš and the headmaster of the Latvian University of Agriculture will take place. The delegations will also visit Scandinavian SIP Home Jelgava, Euromaint Rail, Vet Clinic and the combined power and heating plant Fortum Jelgava.

12.55-13.10    Opening of the parenthood and fatherhood exhibition Life Puzzle at the library of the Latvian University of Agriculture, Lielā iela 2

13.15-13.45    The Swedish ambassador, Mr. Henrik Landerholm will give a lecture on gender equality at the Latvian University of Agriculture, Lielā iela 2

17.30-17.50    Opening of the exhibition Facing the Climate, where a group of Swedish and Latvian cartoonists offer some amusing and alarming reflections on the climate issue at Jelgava’s art school, Mazais ceļš 2

18.00-            Opening of the exhibition Sweden from a Bird’s Eye View, Tower of St.Trinity Church Akademijas Str. 1

18.30-19.30    Opening of the Swedish film festival in Jelgava, with the screening of the documentary Palme, Tower of St.Trinity Church, Akademijas Str. 1
