You are kindly invited to attend the open lecture by award-winning Swedish journalist Kerstin Weigl – an investigative reporter and columnist employed at Aftonbladet, the leading newspaper in Scandinavia.
One in three women around the world is subjected to physical, sexual or some other form of violence during her lifetime, but it rarely makes the news. Even when a husband murders his wife it is often regarded as private ‘family tragedy’; not as something of interest to the general public, just another sad story of crazy love.
Violence against women – a private family matter or a society problem?
Journalist Kerstin Weigl speaks on how these crimes can be investigated and the powerful impact news reporting could have on the society.
