Joint Chambers Pre-Election debate: Setting priorities for the new Saeima

The results of the Parliamentary elections in October 2014 will have a major impact on Latvia’s political landscape as well as Latvia's business environment. What effects we can expect and what will be the priorities for the newly elected politicians?

You are kindly invited to use an excellent networking opportunity and join the Swedish, American, British, German, Irish and Norwegian Chambers of Commerce for a pre-election debate with the politicians running for the upcoming Parliament election! You will meet the candidates from major parties currently leading polls. Under the leadership of the Moderator Paul Raudseps ("Cits Medijs"), one of the leading journalists and comentators will talk to the candidates on the following issues:

  • What can the Parliament do to strengthen Latvia’s competitiveness?
  • How can we attract more foreign direct capital?
  • What are the priorities of their party programs?
  • What’s next for the long-awaited reforms in corporate governance of SOE, education and healthcare?
  • How to fill the huge gap of income inequality?
