Business After Hours with SEB Latvia

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia in cooperation with SEB Latvia gladly invite you to a discussion with SEB bank's economists on

"When will Baltics reach the living standards of Nordic countries?"

On 16 January 2019, 13:00 o'clock at SEB's Innovation Centre (Valnu str. 11, 3rd floor).

Speakers:

Dainis Gašpuitis, macroeconomics expert at SEB Latvia

Tadas Povilauskas, senior analyst at SEB Lithuania

Mihkel Nestor, economist at SEB Estonia

Since restoration of their independence Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have considerably increased their GDP, salaries, purchasing power and other indicators. However, there is still a large gap between Baltic countries and Nordic countries in terms of living standards. The economists will examine topics as:

- what should Baltic countries do to close the gap?

- what risks and obstacles can delay the improvement of Baltic living standards?

- what should politicians do and what should entrepreneurs do?

- when can we expect to receive similar salaries and pensions as in Nordic countries?

The discussion will be held in English.

Please register to the Swedish Chamber scc@scc.lv  latest by 14 January.

Members only.
