Katarina Hartgers is born in a mixed Latvian-Dutch family and first moved to Latvia in 1993. In 2004 she moved back to Amsterdam to establish the Representative office of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). Whilst promoting Latvian businesses in The Netherlands she began employing various social media platforms to increase the visibility of both Latvian entrepreneurs and Latvia as a country. In 2010 she used her formerly acquired knowledge to become a social media strategist. This year she celebrates her venture's 10th anniversary. During this time, she has managed social media accounts for numerous enterprises, developed and implemented social media strategies as well as delivered social media training. For the past few years she has provided training for improving the LinkedIn presence for various enterprises and individuals. Complementary to her professional endeavors, Katarin promotes the interests of Latvia as an honorary consul of Latvia in Amsterdam.
